Hamilton Rock provides the technology platform that helps you manage your accounts, but the bank holds the funds. This means your money remains safely held at the bank, even if Hamilton Rock were no longer operating.

Eligible deposits are also covered by FDIC pass-through deposit insurance up to $250,000 per depositor, per ownership category, provided the applicable FDIC requirements are met. This gives you the same level of protection many traditional bank customers receive.

Most Ecommerce businesses receive payments through online stores, marketplaces, and payment platforms, which can send payouts directly to your Hamilton Rock account. You can also fund your account using ACH transfers, domestic wire transfers, cards, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

This digital-first approach makes it faster and easier to manage your business finances without needing to visit a bank branch.

Can I send ACH transfers?

Yes. You can send and receive ACH transfers directly from your Hamilton Rock account to and from other bank accounts across the United States.

ACH transfers are commonly used for paying suppliers, contractors, and business expenses, as well as receiving payments from customers or other businesses.

You can create, track, and manage ACH payments directly from your Hamilton Rock dashboard, making it easy to move money and stay in control of your Ecommerce business finances. Standard ACH takes between 1-3 business days, whereas Same Day ACH typically arrives the same business day.

Typical limits may include:

Card spending: up to $5,000 per day per card

ATM withdrawals: up to $500 per day

ACH transfers: starting around $5,000–$25,000 per day, with higher limits available for established businesses

Actual limits may vary depending on your account activity, business history, and risk checks, and you will always be able to see your current limits inside your Hamilton Rock dashboard.

What happens if a payment fails or is returned?

If a payment cannot be completed, it will usually be returned to your Hamilton Rock account.

This can happen for a few common reasons, such as incorrect account details, insufficient funds, or the receiving bank rejecting the payment.

If a payment fails, you will see the status and details in your Hamilton Rock dashboard, so you can quickly understand what happened and resend the payment if needed.

How do I report a problem with a transaction?

If you notice a problem with a transaction, you can contact the Hamilton Rock support team right away and we will help investigate it.

You can reach us through live chat (IM) in your dashboard, by email, or by phone. Our team will review the transaction, explain what happened, and guide you on the next steps if action is required.

Do Hamilton Rock accounts earn rewards on balances?

Yes. Eligible balances in your Hamilton Rock accounts can earn Earnings Rewards.

Earnings Rewards work in a similar way to interest or APY at a traditional bank, but because Hamilton Rock is a financial technology company and not a bank, we describe this as a reward on your balance rather than interest.

The reward is calculated using an earnings rate equivalent to 1.39% (Deleted: APY), accrued daily based on your eligible balance, and credited to your account monthly.

This means your business can earn more on idle cash, while your funds remain securely held at our partner bank.

Store Payouts

Why don’t my Ecommerce payouts match my sales?

When you sell online, the amount deposited into your bank account is usually different from your total sales.

This is because payment platforms such as Stripe, Shopify Payments, Amazon, and PayPal deduct certain items before sending the final payout to your bank. These can include payment processing fees, refunds, returns, chargebacks, marketplace commissions, currency conversion fees, or rolling reserves.

Because of this, the final payout that reaches your bank account is often lower than your gross sales, which can make reconciliation difficult.

Are there any fees?

If there are not enough funds in your account to complete a transaction, the payment will simply not be processed.

Your Earnings Rewards are calculated daily on your eligible balance and paid into your account monthly as a cash reward.

What’s the difference between an Earnings Reward and APY?

Banks usually advertise APY (Annual Percentage Yield) when they pay interest on deposits. That interest is regulated and paid directly by the bank.

Hamilton Rock is a financial technology company, not a bank, so instead of paying interest, we provide an Earnings Reward. This is a cash bonus Hamilton Rock pays on your eligible balances.

In simple terms, Earnings Rewards work much like the interest you might earn at a bank, helping your balance grow while your funds are securely held with our partner bank.

How does the 2% cashback on cards work?

When you use your Hamilton Rock card (physical or virtual) for eligible business purchases, you earn 2% cashback on qualified purchases. Cashback is calculated on completed transactions and paid into your Hamilton Rock account each month.

The main items that do not qualify for cashback include cash withdrawals, transfers, wallet funding, refunds, and other cash-like transactions.
